Morning sickness was my very first sign of being pregnant, although we had no idea. I started feeling really sick, just nauseous all the time and I didn’t want to eat…ever. I stayed home from school a few times just because I felt so nauseous. I remember Zach had brought me a pink teddy bear as a get well soon present on one of the first days I had stayed home. Zach actually made the joke, “You’re probably pregnant or something,” I laughed and waved that thought away. It was pretty funny until we found out it was true.
Anyways, I had morning sickness throughout my first trimester. I only threw up once but I was nauseous all the time! I had no interest in food at all. I remember both my parents and Zach’s parents pretty much trying to force feed me in order to get food inside of me. I actually lost about 10 pounds in my first trimester. Once I entered my second trimester it vanished.
Oh yeah, I like how they call it morning sickness but it’s really all-freaking-day sickness!
It never crossed my mind that there might be ways to help with morning sickness when I had it. I just thought once you get you just have to let it run it’s course, like you do with a cold. Towards the end of my pregnancy, with my many stops at Baby’s R Us, I discovered that there are lollipops that are suppose to help the morning sickness. That made me wonder if there were simple ways to help with morning sickness. (If I would have only thought of that when I had morning sickness). If you do look up any tips to help with your morning sickness, make sure you check with your doctor first before you try anything!
